What to Look For
Should be about one and a half inches long. Look for thin, orange skin. If green leaves are still attached, they should be the freshest.
Storage Tips
Lasts at room temperature for 1 or 2 days. Can be placed in a paper bag if the stem is still attached and put into the refrigerator for up to a month, but it will continue to ripen during that time.
Nutritional Facts
Good source of vitamin A and C as well as fiber, saturated fat, cholesterol and sodium. However, its calories mostly come from sugars.
