The answer's easy! Just check with us, your Produce Pals! We have extensively researched hundreds of fruits and vegetables to figure out the best way to pick them out while you're shopping and how to store them at home to ensure they are as fresh as possible as long as possible.
The Produce Pal database is available as an iPhone app for a very low cost to cover our development expenses, but all that information is also available on our website here, free of charge!
Want more? Produce Pal also has nutrition information about each type of produce and fun trivia that you can amaze your friends with when they ask you "How did you know how to pick out a Kumquat? This is delicious!"
